LT 2002 Graphics Much slower than LT 2000i?

I understand that LT 2002 can be up to 24% faster than previous versions.

Has anyone noticed the REAL-TIME ZOOM and PAN in LT 2002 is much slower than
in LT 2000i.
Zoomfactor is set to 40.
We have upgraded recently and noticed that on the initial load of LT 2002
the REAL-TIME ZOOM and PANS are sluggish and slow.
The LT 2000i REAL-TIME ZOOM and PAN is instant.
On re-loading LT 2002 after loading LT 2000i the REAL-TIME ZOOM and PAN are
now the same speed (FAST).

Any comments/recommendations welcome.

Stretch.

Appears you fixed the install error you had on your machine... .

Hi Dean,
I expected something much cleverer than that...
but I like your sense of humour!

My problem is that my customers have installed new licences so they cannot
use this workaround.

I need to know if there is a fix for new users of the product. Our
workaround was only found by coincidence, and I feel silly sending them a
copy of LT 2000i to install as well. Just to fix zooming and panning.

If you have LT 2002 and a wheel mouse please try this and tell me if we are
imagining it. Maybe its the cold weather here in New Zealand...

Thanks, and I look forward to your reply.

It probably has something to do with the fact that LT2002 likes
to overwrite LT2000i when installing: has an LT2002 update
install solve the problem (you know, put the CD back in and
select the update/fix last install option)?

I think a call to your local vendor/reseller (hopefully that is
not you) to report the 'bug' and request a fix direct from
Autodesk might be in order. Have not seen it here in balmy
boiling hot Texas.

Hallo,
I just updated from LT 2000 to 2002 and I have the same problem.

When I use in LT 2000 the REAL-TIME ZOOM and PAN it is very fast. Now with
LT 2002 it is very slow. During this operations in LT 2000 the harddisk
sounds
like bees but in LT 2002 it sounds like saving my drawings on harddisk.

I tried it with several drawings and sometimes it is fast and sometimes slow
(!) even with the same drawing ! I don't know why.
