loser!

right, I feel like a complete moron for having to ask this as I'm sure it's the simplest thing to sort out.
I have a drawing that I need to extract some information from but when I open the file there is a distinct lack of anything. I know that it's there somewhere because I can clearly see the information I need to access on the preview thumb. I've tried everything I can think of, but have run out of ideas. Can anyone help?

The preview is not an indication of content, but only what was there when the file was last successfully saved. Try ZOOM>Extents, or window the middle of your screen and see if any blue blips show up, then Zoom>Window down to it to confirm that's your 'content'. Also start XREF command and see if you simply 'misplaced' the xref files that are supposed to be in there. Also toggle between model and layouts, see if anything shows up. -- Dean Saadallah Add-on products for LT http://www.pendean.com/lt --

My favourite is "erase all" the cmd line will tell you how many objects are in the drawing - just dont save the drawing

How about SELECT command>All option. Don't run with open scissors like Chisel LOL -- Dean Saadallah Add-on products for LT http://www.pendean.com/lt --
