Logitech MX Revolution

I have just bought a Logitech MX Revolution mouse but I'm having problems with the mouse pan on the middle button as it switches between ratcheted and free when clicked like my old mouse. As a result I don't have the ability to pan using the middle button but most infuriatingly I don't have the ability to zoom extents.

Can anyone help?

No, I can't help. But I would add that I am having a similar problem with a
new Logitech G7 mouse, as well as with a new Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse
8000. I am trying to find a replacement for an old MS Intellimouse Explorer
which is starting to get a bit ratty now (sorry folks!). On both of the new
mice, the middle button does work intermittently - if you use a lot of
pressure at the just-right angle. And because I use the middle button all
the time for panning, that makes both the new mice almost useless. I have
ordered a Razer ProClick with high hopes.

With kindest regards,

David

Standard stock rules/settings for mouse, if you really insist on using a
mouse driver instead of just letting Windows do it all for you:

in your mouse software, middle button needs to be set to MIDDLE BUTTON (some
drivers work better when it's set to AUTOSCROLL, figure it out yourself)

in your mouse software, either MSOffice Compatible Scroll option needs to be
turned on or LT needs to be added to it's exclusions/trouble-shooting list.

in LT, MBUTTONPAN variable needs to be turned on. Explained in Help.
