lisp function or script to open drawings in read-only mode

I am trying to figure out a way to open drawings in read-only mode in a
script file. This is basically what can be done with radio butoon on the
open dialog box.

The general idea is to not lock the file for other users and to avoid the
"Drawing is currently open. Do you want to open as read-only" prompt when it
is currently being edited.

Any ideas?

Luc Doucet.

The file open dialog box shows the RASTERPREVIEW of the file.
If you plan on viewing these files without editing, there are lots of third
party viewers, including Volo View Express that are good at just viewing a
DWG file.

To answer your question, no way around the prompt .....
