Line Weights of ACAD LT 2002

I have a problem with line weights. I set the pens up with the line weights but the drawings come out with all the same weight lines. I did not have thie problem with ACAD 97. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I am not sure if this is the cause but polyulines with an assigned width
will over ride the plot style settings.
