Layer Colour

Good Morning

Probably an easy question but i am just converting back to AutoCAD from microstation.

 

I am trying to change the colour of a layer in my viewport.   Using the layer manager i can do this but i can not get the actual item to change colour.  I have checked the vplayermode is 1 and searched around but no luck !!

 

Does anyone have other ideas ?

Is the item colour set to 'BYLAYER' or 'BYBLOCK' or is it set to a colour itself?

 

Is the item in a block? If it is you'll need to go into the block editor  "BE" and change the colour there.

 

Set it to 'BYLAYER' and it should change to the layer colour
