install on a second computer

I recently purchased and downloaded a stand alone Autocad LT 2015 and installed it on my desktop. I now want to copy the program to a laptop. I understand that I will not be able to use the program on both computers at the same time and that is fine. I don't think this is a license transfer but merely a second activation. My question is what steps do I take to do this? Everything I've read on Autodesk says it can be done but it is never explained how. Do I download a free trial version first? Do I attempt to buy another license and activate with my current serial number? Thanks for your help.

Install the software on the laptop and authorize like you did the desktop.

You can use License Transfer Utlity as explained here

However, as @pendean said, you can simply install and activate on second computer. Just make sure you uninstall AutoCAD LT on your computer after you finish.
