Inserting OLE object results in box with no image just file name

I am using AutoCAD LT 2007 and i have successfully inserted OLE objects from PDF files in the past. Recently, i have been unable to successfully insert an OLE object from any file type. Every time i insert the OLE object instead of seeing the object i simply get a white rectangle with the file name written inside. Please help me out this is incredibly annoying and the technical support line refuses to help me because i am using the 2007 version of their product (amazing customer service i must say).

FYI, 2007 is dead as of March 15 of this year. 2008 dies next March. And so
on, every year. So upgrade or live with your choices.

It appears you only copied the file, NOT the PDF content, into LT. Open the
PDF, use the camera tool to capture the content, then Paste in LT. Watch out
for how you have your PDF viewer set up, the defaults make the OLE come in
fuzzy (zoom in tight to use the camera to overcome it).
