Insert Image (jpg or tiff) in 2007 LT?

I am having great difficulty inserting images (aerial photos) into 2007 LT. In the past, I have worked with several versions of ACAD and in all of them there was a command under Insert/"Insert Raster Image".

What options do I have to insert images into 2007 LT?

Thanks,

Chad

Copy/paste from an image editor, or get someone with the full version to do
it for you.

That's what I was afraid of.

If I had known that, we would have saved our money rather than buy 2007 LT.

Thanks,

That's part of why LT is so much cheaper than the full version. It does not have many of the more useful features.

I had the same difficulty with 2005 LT. I downloaded a free program called IrfanView (an image editor). Open the jpg or tif with Irfanview and do an edit/copy then paste into ACAD LT. Hope this helps.

What about insert /OLE object? As a quick test I inserted a jpg which seemed to work on 2005LT. It's not a method that I have actually used, so there maybe a snag.

Chad,

Try inserting your aerial image as a TIFF file. Are your aerials in .jpg format? Autocadd Lt 2007 still allows you to type in the "Insert" command to bring in tiffs, pdfs.
