image reference unreadable?

Hello all,

I have a image border that was created in AutoCAD 2000 then i opened it in AutoCADLT 2002 and i attached an .jpg image. Works great but when a client opens the image in AutoCAD Lt97 the image box is there but the image box doesnt appear and under status in the image manager the the image is listed as unreadable. I sent them all the attached files, images, and checked the paths. every time i open the file everything is great, but they open it and they cant see the under lying image. I dont want to simple cut and paste the image in there file cause that kills my file size. Any help finding the solution would be great.

Saving down to older versions of LT also terminates any features
that where not available in those lower versions. Copy/Paste is
the fix.

Actually I figured out the problem, AutoCAD LT 97 doesnt support jpg's I had to switch the image to a bmp and the everything worked. File size increased a little but not as much as if I had cut and paste the image in.
