Ohh wait, skip the "all" command and do a wildcard match instead.

"-layer;unlock;*;;"

Try that, should work.

Edit: Woops, was in abit of a rush, forgot to use the edit reply instead of posting a new one =P

Also, if you need more explanation about creating a macro button you can search it on teh internetz or just ask someone on to forum, off to palma de mallorca for a week, Ciao!

to unlock ALL LAYERS in one click. Not one layer at a time but ALL LAYERS AT ONCE. 1. open the layer properties table or type LAYER. then enter. 2. inside the layer properties table, highlight all the layers OR click on one layer and press CTRL A to highlight all at once. 3. then click on one unlock icon AND oops! EVERYTHING UNLOCKS works for LOCK, FREEZE and LAYER ON. Good Luck.

LOL, how is that last reply a one-click solution as requested I don't know 😉

Remember to remove the double quotes when you copy/paste that last macro posted above: let us know if you don't understand how to use the CUI command to create that one button to click.

Hopefully OP has already solved this since solution was post 2 - 3 and this was about 1,5 years ago 😉

Works wonderful in unlocking a plan view I have. 5497 objects unlocked so I can make a block now!

@lai

It appears that several folks have tried to help on this issue. Were you able to find a solution? Or a workaround? Did any of the posts in the thread help with your issue?

Please post back in the thread if you are still having an issue with AutoCAD or Select Accept as Solution for the post’s that helped.

Thanks for your time.

Why ask this question.

In LT I Isolate a layer and then hit the unisolate layer after the editing is finished.

The unisolate doesn't work, instead all layers remain locked.

So the real question for me is, how do you get uninsolate to work?

HELP says you can use LAYERP command instead of "unisolate" as an alternative when it does not do what you want: so apparently Autodesk knows it is broken.
