How do I get AutoCAD back onto my system?

AutoCAD LT 2013. About 2 weeks ago my "New" quit working like it used to. The answers I received in Autodesk.Community, Autocad LT General forum didn't help. Today I decided to unload and reload the program from disc. I uninstalled from Control Panel. I've spent the past 5.5 hours trying over and over to load from disc. I've tried normal. I've tried Safe Mode. Nothing works. It keeps coming up saying everything didn't load properly. Tomorrow morning my business comes to a standstill if I can't get Autocad back on my system. Any ideas any may wish to offer about how to get AutoCAD LT 2013 back on my system will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, K.

Windows version?

- Ensure the user is installing/uninstalling and using the product have enough rights to do so (install and reinstall as local administrator): Unable to run AutoCAD® as a restricted user http://usa.autodesk.com/getdoc/id=TS1055299
- Reset AutoCAD Settings as follows: http://upandready.typepad.com/up_and_ready/2012/07/the-easiest-way-to-reset-autocad.html
- Install the latest service pack: http://usa.autodesk.com/support/downloads/
- Update the graphics card driver: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/syscert?siteID=123112&id=18844534
- If the issue persist, please create a new local user account onto the computer and give it administrator permissions then log into the computer with newly created test account and see if AutoCAD launches properly under this user account as well.
- If AutoCAD also crashes under the test user account, you will need to do a complete uninstall and re-install following these instructions: http://usa.autodesk.com/getdoc/id=TS45252 (reinstall for XP/Vista users: http://usa.autodesk.com/getdoc/id=TS75218)
- Be aware of the following issue with the 2014 software only: http://usa.autodesk.com/getdoc/id=TS21825687
- More complete .NET fix may be necessary ahead of the uninstall/reinstall process: http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Installation-Licensing/NET-Framework-Cleanup-Tool-for-Unhandled-Except...

Download 2010 through 2015 software:

Thank You pendean for considering and responding to my post. I'm working on the "- Install the latest service pack: http://usa.autodesk.com/support/downloads/" you suggested. I'm stopped on "Autodesk Simulation Moldflow Communicator 2013 Service Pack 2 full install" Every attempt is answered with "Some installation files were corrupt" then something about find a fresh copy and try again. No matter how many times I clean everything and try again, I get the same answer. Any ideas where I may find a fresh uncorrupt copy will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, K.

"Autodesk Simulation Moldflow Communicator 2013 Service Pack 2 full install"??

I have no idea what that is, it is not part of LT2013, you grabbed something else somehow, or really installing LT2013: http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/simulation-moldflow-insight-products/downloads/caas/downloads/...

After spending all day yesterday trying to download all the updates and patches and failing miserably, last night I began wondering if all this downloading of updates and patches was going to do any good if AutoCAD LT 2013 is not on my system in the first place? Since AutoCAD LT 2013 is no longer on my system since I removed it last Saturday, what good does all this downloading of updates and patches do for me. The problem is that AutoCAD LT 2013 fails to properly download from disc. Since last Friday I have attempted to load from disc many times. In between each I Google ideas of what may be keeping AutoCAD LT 2013 from properly loading from disc.

To date I can:

Put disc in reader.

AutoPlay window comes up with Run Setup.exe hilited.

Click on Run Setup.exe.

Click on Yes allow Autodesk to make changes.

AutoCAD LT 2013 window comes up showing installation in process.

Initializing.

Click Install on this computer.

Accept Terms.

Type in serial# and product key.

Window comes up with AutoCAD LT 2013 preselected, click Install.

The result: "Installation complete. Some products failed to install." AutoCAD LT 2013 is not operable. It doesn't appear in my start menu, there is no shortcut on my desktop. An Autodesk folder shows on C:\Program Files with a subfolder AutoCAD LT 2013, with a subfolder en-US, when opened is fill of .dll but no .exe.

I purchased this disc from Amazon 2013feb, installed it without a single hitch and all was fine until about 2 weeks ago when the "New" quit producing "New". Since the "New" fixes offered in this forum didn't work for my system, I decided to simply unload and reload. I got the unload done, now I can't seem to find a way to successfully accomplish the reload part.

The problem isn't that my program needs updated or patched, the problem is the program fails to load onto my system from disc.

All ideas any wish to offer about what may be keeping AutoCAD LT 2013 from properly loading onto my system from disc will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, K.

- "download from disk" is a bad layman's term you need to forget quickly. You INSTALL from a disk, you DOWNLOAD to simply transfer files, you are not transfering files you want to install software.
- Disks go bad. Disk Drives are touchy about proper disk formatting, the possibilities of failure are endless. Spending "since last friday" on one disk and one disk drive is not the best way to spend your time fixing a software.

Read this, tips that may help you, did an internet search of your error message, lots more out there if this doesn't help: http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Installation-Licensing/Some-Products-Fail-to-Install-Result-1603/td-p/...

The Autodesk Customer Service Virtual Agent is a good place to DOWNLOAD (my word, means to get the installation file from the internet and place it on your computer for you to double-click on to install the software) instead of messing with a nickel (5-cents) disk:
•In the preferences or options area of your preferred browser, remove pop-up blockers and allow access to all *autodesk.com sites.
•In the preferences or options area of your preferred browser, delete cookies, temporary internet files, and history.
1. Turn off your personal firewall or VPN, if you use one.
2. Disable UAC
3. Close and reopen your preferred browser.
4. Go to http://autodesk.creativevirtual15.com/autodesk/bot.html?isJSEnabled=1&businessArea=Root.Front%20Desk...
5. Select the choice "Download Links".
6. Select your product, then variant, then version as applicable.
7. You should now be presented with the choice to download your software.
8. Burn your own disk to save your download (my use of the word) for your future needs: I suggest a second copy on a more robust media other than a nickel (5-cents) disk.

hope that helps.

Thank You pendean, your patience and efforts have been above and beyond. I cleaned as suggested. I have no idea if my VPN is turned on or off. I'm a layman and don't know that term. I have no idea if my UAC is active or disabled. I'm a layman and don't know that term. I downloaded AutoCAD LT 2013 from The Autodesk Customer Service Virtual Agent. I installed from that download. the result was the same, "Installation complete. Some products failed to install" and AutoCAD LT 2013 is not active on my system. Apparently AutoCAD is not for me. A friend has been badgering me for some time to switch to Argon, perhaps now is the time. If you have a different suggestion I would greatly appreciate your input. Thanks, K.

this is probably why your having issues

you don't know enough about computers to troubleshoot your issue

i suggest hiring an IT person inside your company or take your computer to a shop and have them reformat your harddrive and reinstall the OS
