Help with Word Formatting of text inserted in AutoCad LT (2002)

I'm inserting text from a Word document and the software (LT) seems resistant to importing tables that are in the document. They lose their formatting. The only way I'm able to get them in is with OLE. This however, negates the option of editing the text it contains.
Any suggestions?

Try this: highlight everything you want to copy in WORD, then copy to
clipboard. In LT, use PASTESPEC command, select the %Product Entities
option, see if that helps.
