Grouping in AutoCAD LT 2011 (Windows 7)

I can NOT group anything in ACAD LT 2011.  If I hover my curosr over the objects after attempting to group them, they highlight as a group.  But, once you try to select them, they select individually.

This defeats the purpose of the command in the first place.  I haven't had any recent updates since it last worked properly, so that fault is ruled out.

Please advise.

This is in LT2009 so probably hasn't changed

just type PICKADD at the command line, change it to 1

What's PICKSTYLE set to?

I had it set to (0).  Since you brought it up, I changed it to (1) and that sovled it.

CTRL+SHIFT+A toggles objects grouping on/off, you probably hit that combo somewhere and forgot about it.
