Geolocation not working - AutoCAD LT 2014

Over the last couple of days although the Geolocation will take the details but when going into Model space nothing is diaplayed.

Anyone having this issue?  I have tried all the usual ways of helping CAD remember what it should be doing......

So, to insert using GeoLocation:

  • Start a new drawing.
  • Go to 'INSERT' Tab
  • Click on 'SET LOCATION' Tab
  • Select 'FROM MAP'
  • 'Geographic Location' window will pop up.  Enter ADDRESS in appropriate area
  • Press Enter and 'DROP MARKER' at appropriate location
  • Define 'GIS COORDINATE SYSTEM' as 'BRITISHNATGRID, OSGB-MOD (Meter)' (this is the best one for the measurements we require)
  • Change 'DRAWING UNIT' TO 'METERS'
  • Press 'CONTINUE'
  • Specify Locaiton (we default use 0,0,0)
  • Press ENTER for North Location (keeping it to match the UCS)
  • Press ENTER for Angle to be '0'
  • The Map image should appear - THIS IS WHERE IT FALLS DOWN.  There are no fault codes no inclination AutoCAD has anything wrong it just doesnt appear.

Hope this helps explain the issue i'm having.

Ah good, well nice of them to let us know I guess.

So who do I talk to about a refund for this period, as that is the one Feature of LT that is really useful for our line of work!

Is there a date when it will/could/might/should come back online?

From Autodesk:

AutoCAD 2014 and 2015 products are experiencing a Bing Maps outage due to a Microsoft security change. The AutoCAD team is working to address this as quickly as possible. Please see the following support article for updates, which will also be visible in product (once available) while using the GeoLocation commands.

Maps that I had on drawings are not coming up.

I am now getting a window that says "you do not have permission to access Online Map Data. Go to Account Settings and chaeck your entitlement to use online maps."

What is going on? Account settings don't do anything other than id and password.

Autocad should have an option to use Google Maps!

The Hotfix doesn't work. All it does is crash the IE.

Anyone know when this will be fixed?

Well the hotfix did work for me, for a whole 24 hours.

It now seems to have broken again.
