font displaying with random sharp points

Attached is a pdf showing the issue I am having. Using acad.shx fonts, with the exception of one - but it is displaying fine. Problem is RomanD font is plotting with random pointed, elongated intersections on the font - especially m, n, w, 4. I've checked on my pen table settings, changing the intersection print conditions, but this had no effect.
Has anyone had this particular issue?

Thanks

Your plot style table(s) has line end style settings other than "use object
end style" set.

Nice TDLR sheet btw.

That didn't resolve it. It now rounds off the ends of letters, but the sharp angles persist. ????

I forgot to add in my first reply, line join (in fact all of those custom
settings) in your plot style table need to be set to Use Object... .
