Fatal Error

I'm hoping someone can help me with a Fatal Error problem.  I'm using AutoCAD LT 2011 and it was working just fine until a few weeks ago.  Now, when I try to open certain drawings - or create new drawings, close them and try to re-open them - I keep getting Fatal Error messages that say, for example, "FATAL ERROR: FATAL ERROR: (0x7e510005) c:\program files\autodesk\autocad lt 2011\acismobj18.dbx."  Here's my question... Would it solve the problem if I simply take the AutoCAD software off of my computer and re-install it?  I'm not worried about losing my previously created drawings because I've already saved them all on a compact disk.  PLEASE HELP!!  ...Thanks!

Hello from France

Welcome to the Autodesk/AutoCAD Forums !

Q1) Have you tried to open your DWGs in RECOVER Mode and then ReSave them ...

Q2) Have you installed the SP1 ?

and maybe then the SP2 on your ACAD LT 2011 ?

Q3) Have you tried to repair the installation of your ACAD LT 2011 ?

Q4) I imagine you are running on Win XP Pro ?
