Educational Border removal

I work at a college and used the AutoCAD educational product for a short time. I convinced management to purchase AutoCAD LT 2014, which I am now using. I would like to remove the "educational product" border that appears on documents that I previously created. The product was purchased through CDWG, but they have no knowledge of how to do this. Can someone please help.

Thanks,

David

you can't remove it part of the license agreement

you have to recreate the file in the commericial copy

And to add to DarrenP's post

DO NOT use any of blocks which were created in the student version.

Put simply ANY entity that was created in the student version has the EDUCATION STAMP permanently attached to it, so any entity you put into full Autocad will have the EDUCATION STAMP still attached.

Can't is not accurate, but it is a violation of licensing to use EDU content in a commercial environment. If that is not the case for you, contact an Authorized Autodesk Reseller for resolution. No one here can.

Thank you for you quick responses. Do you know an Authorized Autodesk Reseller that understands this issue? As I mentioned, my AutoCAD LT 2014 license was purchased through CDW-G, but their Autodesk contact doesn't understand. I've tried twice.

Thank you all.

www.autodesk.com/reseller

However, the point made before still stands -- you are not permitted to transfer content between an EDU version of AutoCAD and a commercial version. Per the terms of the license agreements, you must re-create it in the commercial version.

The reseller fix is more of a one-off emergency fix in case you inherited drawings from another company that you though were clean.  From what you described, as you *deliberately* created content with the EDU version you are required to redo it with the commercial version.

OP what you created before purchasing the full license, was created on software that is not allowed for commercial use. Now you want to use what you created for commercial purposes. You see the issue?

If by some odd chance my nattering was useful -- that's great, glad to help. But if it actually solved your issue, then please mark my solution as accepted 🙂
