Before this incident happens, the program was crashed, long time for file saved and even the program suddenly shutdown. And I was try to use the recovery function but it was not work. Please Advice.

It may be a dead/corrupt file: try to use INSERT to place it into a working template file.

After that, look for your BAK file that should not be too much older if you manually saved regularly. And also look for the autosave file in your Windows Temp folder (it will have an SV$ extension but usually carry your file name otherwise).

Then there is always your backup from the day before (if you backup daily) or the week before if you only backup weekly.

Hi,

I try to use "insert function" by opening another drawing but it shows that it was invalid and can't insert it.

Then you have a dead file: explore the other tips I provided in my earlier email for recovering older copies.

Hi,

I don't know where can I find all the backup files or sv$ extension files from Window Temp folder. Would you tell me step by step. my laptop is Window XP OS system with 32 bits version.

Click on the Windows Start Button

In the RUN box, type the following exactly:

%TEMP%

Then hit <enter> on your keyboard: your Windows Temp folder will open.

I found it but I can't open it with AutoCad Application. it has no response on AutoCad program. Please tell me how to open that sv$ autosave file.

Did you rename the extension to DWG?

It may be corrupt then too: post it here if you can and if you want others to look at it.

In the meantime, you need to start looking for your backups from yesterday or the day before, or last week and see if they are valid.

Friend, all three files that you posted are completely destroyed: there is nothing there to recover.

@ Cthakur, I tried to open all of your files in AutoCAD LT 2015-2017 and I was unable to successfully open the attached files.
