Drawing converts to Read Only after saving

New install of LT2011. It has been working fine for a week. Now upon opening a drawing file, the first time I save the plan it immediately converts to Read Only file, therefore I cannot save my work. I have done one re-install with no fix.

From within LT use the File; Open from the dropdown or Icon.

Next to the Open tab at the bottom right is a Down Arrow, click this and you should see the options Open and Open Read-Only

If you click Open does your problem go away?

What changed on your system or file access/location? read-only is a System/Windows/Network/Server tag, not an AutoCAD/LT tag, or are you working off a CD/DVD or thumbdrive (they are always read-only, nature of the product)?

I performed a system restore and so far, so good. I have just started installing additional programs on my new hard drive and something must have changed with one of the installs. Problem seems to be resolved for now.

I am having this same issue. Is there any other fix besides a system restore?

Any help would be apreciated.

This thread was started over two years ago so I am guessing the System Restore worked for the OP since they did not come back to the subject.

Have you tried a System Restore to a day, week, month ago?

See if that made a difference?
