Distance measurements are incorrect

2008 LT

 

It's the strangest thing. I'll draw a 6' long line, go to measure it and it comes up as 5-'6-1/2".

 

Units are set to architectural at 1/16" precision

Measureinit is set at 0

 

The drawing is copied from another file which I did not create.

 

Any ideas??? I would appreciate any help.

or are you dimensioning?

Is one point of the line in a different Z plane?
