Delete Key

Hello all

My delete key dosent work in Autocad any more.
I did use this all the time to erase stuff, so it would be good if someone
knew how to fix this.
It works in word etc so its not the keyboard.

Is there a setvar or something that turns this on and off?

What is the pickfirst system variable set to?

Pickfirst is set to 1
I've discovered that if you hold down the delete key continuously for 2-3
seconds it will erase selected objects.
It used to be instantaneous!
If you have any other ideas I would appreciate it!
