How can I set up a defalt printer in AutoCAD 11 with all the custom properties and plot are (window). Defailt Printer and Settings
start a new DWG file.
Set it up in every which way you desire, including printer/plotter settings, layers, all layouts (and titleblocks if you wish) you'd ever use, linetype and so on.
Then use SAVEAS command, change the file type to AUTOCAD DRAWING TEMPLATE (DWT file).
Now always use this file to start new drawings, and to pull in predefined layouts with your desired plot parameters already defined.
For existing files, you could also use the same template file to pull in predefined pagesetups from those predefined layouts in the PLOT dialog box or PUBLISH or PAGESETUP command. Requires a little more of a set up.
Now, if your question is how do you get AutoCAD, all by itself, to only ever use your system printer all the time in all existing files, then no you cannot. PLOT parameters are stored inside each file inside each tab and your system settings are always ignored (power is give to the file creator, never the last one to open it).
