Dashboard or back to toolbars?

I am using 2008 LT and am having some difficulty transitioning to the "dashboard".

My main problem so far is many of the commands like "explode" are burried in flyouts (an extra step), and the flyouts are a bit difficult to open and pan down through reliably. Often I loose the flyout because I am unable to keep the mouse precisely within the flyout. (This is on a 19" LCD with an optical mouse so screen size and mouse precision shouldn't be an issue). I really don't want to have to drill down for basic commands.

The result is it takes me several clicks to do what used to take one.

I would like to try the dashboard (I think) but this is really unproductive.

If you have a good suggestion please let me know, otherwise how do I turn off the dashboard and revert to basic toolbars?

Thanks

John

turn it off, use Workspaces to turn on/off toolbar you need when you
need them, get into typing short-keys too.

Not everything is for anyone in LT.
