Crazy scaled dwg

Help!  I just received a dwg from a consultant and when i go into paperspace

the door dimension is reading 6'-4" when i put a dimension on it.......and it should be 6'

the LTscale is 36, PSLTscale is 1 and MSLTSCALE is 0.....i need to scale the plan so those doors read 6'

What does DIST command report?
What does LIST ommand report if you draw a line from one end to the other?
What is the viewport scale set to?

Relying on a DIMSTYLE setting is a terrible way to verify a size of something in a DWG file.

the Dist is reading 6'-4 just like the actual dimension

when i list it it reads

OP what does that door measure in modelspace? and have you tried unlocking the viewport, changing the VP scale and then changing it back? (don't forget to relock the VP)

If by some odd chance my nattering was useful -- that's great, glad to help. But if it actually solved your issue, then please mark my solution as accepted 🙂
