When I copy text or dimensions within a drawing, the copied text becomes "bold" and cannot be corrected so text has to be re-written constantly. Is there a cure for this problem?

Solved by pendean. Go to Solution.
Click on the Text and check the Z value in the Properties window.
Typically a Z value other than Zero for True Type Fonts will cause this issue.

Many thanks for your help.
I have checked the "Z" value of the text and it shows "0". Even if I try to inherit the properties of a correct text does not resolve the problem
Don't just "check": actually type 0 in the PROPERTIES box entry for Z after you select all these text objects. Your AutoCAD session's accuracy settings may be masking small Z settings.
MATCHPROP does not deal with Z settings.
Have done what you suggested and problem is solved.
Many thanks for your help.
Having solved the problem with the bold text. How do I solve a similar problem with dimension properties?
