Hi All.
Im using AutoCAD LT 2012 and evertime I try to insert a block or paste something from the copy with basepoint command, AutoCAD crashes.
Any idea what's causing this?
I'm not sure if this will help, but I located the problem. My consultant's consultant software. Certain areas of the drawing were copied from civil designer, that’s were the problem came in.
Not sure if this will lead to a solution?
Are they using Autodesk software? If yes, then they need to use -EXPORTTOAUTOCAD command (note their is a dash in the name of the command) to send you 2D only files with no custom objects.
Have you tried using the cut and paste commands from the menu, rather than the Ctrl+C & Ctrl+V ? Sometimes applications can remap the windows chortcut commands
I've found that bringing a drawing into Microstation V8i will fix an AutoCad drawing.
Hi there
Go to the block...open it and make a purge. Verify your layers. Maybe it has to many layers that need to be removed. Drawings on recent versions can be saved for older versions....there's a setting on options for that.
Try inserting the drawing block as an external reference just to see what happens.
You can try making a WBLOCK on it.
I had the same problem. I tried amost all possibilities metioned here. Only DGNEXPORT and than DGNIMPORT works. Thanks!
