Copy command - LT 2008

I use the copy command to check quantities of blocks quickly, but this ability seems to have disappeared in LT 2008.
The copy command now brings a command line note of: Current settings: Copy Mode = Multiple, whereas in LT 2007 it was: Copy: XXX objects found.
Is there any way of getting the previous quantity notation back?

thats interesting, when i do the copy command in lt2008 it still tells me how many objects i'm copying. i don't get that note at all.???

Any chance for interest sake you could have a look at my thread on the trim command and let me know if you get the same results as i do? have a look at the trim2.dwg its the best explanation i have for what happens.

now i see what you mean, but it doesn't show that note until you choose the first point of displacement. you can simply scroll up on the command line to see the number of objects or display two more lines of text.

the copy mode command is what i wished that lt2007 had so i didn't have to go through and change my mnu file.

p.s if you could take a look at the trim command it would be great, even if its just to know where not the only ones. Message was edited by: GEO JEFF

Thanks Jeff,
I am looking at your trim command, but I don't use it very often I'm afraid. However, in my limited estimation, it appears you are correct. I haven't yet been able to duplicate what you get in 2007.

"Users" asked for control over Copy's default Multiple
action, so it is now available in LT2008. It should have
been done back in 2004/5/6/7 but they just now got around to
it.

Sounds like you need to use SELECT command, or QSELECT or
FILTER commands to count blocks? These are made to
'count'... .

Thanks Dean and Jeff,
Very helpful, and I now see that the copy command still shows the number of blocks, it's just hidden in a higher line.
