command order reversed, generally not working

All of a sudden when i try this (selecting the object first) and entering my command, the object(s) become unselected and it asks me to select objects. it will no longer allow me to select the object first and then enter the command.

I have foudn these answers and tried them and this is not working

Check Tools->Options->Selection. Under Selection modes, make sure Noun/verb
selection is checked.

set pickfirst = 1 and pickadd = 1 and pickauto = 1.

This is a speciric probnlem with Draworder so far as I cannot even get the command to work, picking object bfore of after command. This si typical across all drawings, so MatchProperties, Copy, Rotate etc etc etc

Cheers.....Q

Try PICKADD to 2

Though why that would make any difference is beyond me.

This is how I am setup here:

PICKFIRST 1

PICKADD 2

PICKAUTO 1

The default setting from Autodesk is 2 (says so in HELP when you look it up): other than being tied to SELECT command though (is the OP running a custom routine?) there should be no difference between 1 and 2 with core commands being launched after selection.

A custom macro was going to be the next question.
