Change username and computer name, will AutoCAD be affected?

I have to change computer name and username in the machine where AutoCAD is installed, should I do any change in order to continue running ok? Will the software be affected?

Depending which version you are using, there are files you could backup.
But if you have a bog standard set up then not a lot will change.
Things like the background colour of your drawing area need to be
changed when you first use Acad, that and certain other settings are per
user settings and not back upable.

Thanks for your answer Simon.

I have three versions in three different machines: AutoCAD LT 2004, 2006 and 2007. Do you know if I have to do anything before renaming proccess?

First, wait till dinnertime when the US of A starts their work day, you
will get more info. I'm not sure when mnu's changed to cui's.

But what I would do is just make a copy of the 'support' folder. Then
when you've done the renaming just replace that folder with your copy in
your new user profile.

The file path will be similar to this...

For XP
C:\Documents and Settings\yourusername\Application Data\Autodesk\AutoCAD
LT 2004\R10\enu\Support

For Vista and 7
C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\AutoCAD LT
2004\R11\enu\Support

And what about the rest of versions? Is it enough if I make a copy of "Support" folder?
