Change attribute values

Hi,

I received this file from a client (overseas) and I replaced the original titleblock with ours. After that, we usually run a script (*.scr) to update the title block. The script is very basic and works on all the other files but this one. Everything seems to run smoothly until i reach this part:

Enter attribute value specification <*>:

Does anybody have an idea about what is going on?

Thanks a bunch!!!

Here is a sample, I tried to change one attribute for testing purposes...(file is attached, if anybody wants to try. Forget the xrefs since they are not relevant. The problem is with the title block that is inserted as a block reference)

Command: -attedit

Edit attributes one at a time? [Yes/No] <Y>: n

Performing global editing of attribute values.
Edit only attributes visible on screen? [Yes/No] <Y>: n

Drawing must be regenerated afterwards.
Enter block name specification <*>: T12013_Border_A1

Enter attribute tag specification <*>: R1RV

Enter attribute value specification <*>: (I hit enter here, and it should say "1 attributes selected"...but instead i got *Invalid* ???)

0 attributes selected.*Invalid*

Seems to work just fine here in 2012:

Command:
-ATTEDIT
Edit attributes one at a time? [Yes/No] <Y>: N

Performing global editing of attribute values.
Edit only attributes visible on screen? [Yes/No] <Y>: N

Drawing must be regenerated afterwards.
Enter block name specification <*>: T12013_Border_A1

Enter attribute tag specification <*>: R1RV

Enter attribute value specification <*>:

1 attributes selected.
Enter string to change:
Enter new string: THIS IS NEW TEXT

I did Purge, Audit, and turn of/thaw all layers first if that matters (old habits die hard).
