Can't select base point for scaling object

I encouter this.... after i select object for scaling, can't select base point.

Anyone know what happen.

So does the Command just quit or does your Cursor not select what you are clicking on?

IF OSNAP's are off the latter is possible if you wish to pick say an ENDpoint or MIDpoint.

Do you need to zoom out to find/see it's basepoint?
Or did you turn off GRIPS?
Or do you need to raise the Grips Limits?
Look up GRIPS settings in OPTIONS' command's SELECTION Tab, you should have all but the second box selected in the GRIPS section and the limit should be on the high end if you have a higher end PC.

Snap to drawing grid was on in my case, turned it off.
