Can't Save to Desktop

Can I set my auomatic save directory as the Desktop?

I tried to change my automatic file save location to my Desktop, but I keep getting a message that says:

"The directory specified for automatic saves must exist and have read/write permission.  The value previously saved for the automatic save directory will be used".

Well, I have read/write permissions for my desktop, and it exists.

Local, but I'm an Administrator.

Well, I just tried it and it appears AutoCAD will not let you select the Desktop for your autosaves.

We use a specific folder for all of ours, try that instead.
