Can I install AutoCAD LT 2006 on a Windows 8 PC?

I get an error message stating that there is an incompatiblity issue.  Is there a driver available to correct this installation error?

Hello

Welcome to the Autodesk/AutoCAD Forums !

Win Seven is officially supported by Autodesk with ACAD / ACAD LT 2011

but everybody knows that the 2010 is running fine on Win Seven ...

Any other ACAD 200x is not supported on Win Seven (or more) !

If I remember well :

- To support officially Win 8.0 you need an ACAD / ACAD LT 2013 + SP 2

- To support officially Win 8.1 you need an ACAD / ACAD LT 2014 + SP 1

On Win Seven/8.0/8.1, you have to try the Win XP Compatible Mode to run an OLD ACAD 32 bits !

Or you can use (not free) the Longbow software ... http://www.longbowsoftware.com/

you can try running in combatibility mode but no gurantee this will work

2006 came out years before Windows 8 did

so expect to run into other issues if you get this to work
