Not out of the box, although there are third party Lisp enablers which
may give you the functionality you require (at a cost).

If you are really serious about customisation, sadly you will need the
full product.

It supports AutoLISP, and you can get access to LOTS of "hidden" functions
like xclip if you run LT Toolkit from www.drcauto.com in conjuntion with
AutoCAD LT.

Hugh meant to say LT does NOT support Autolisp/ARX, and you need
to buy Hugh's Lisp enabler to get Autolisp to work in LT.

Lets look at the main differences in that article:

Drawing Performance: One of the things LT Toolkit does in LT (as well as
giving access to LISP) is speed it up quite a lot.

Breadth of 2D Drafting Features: LT Toolkit gives access to command like
vpclip, xclip, etc

Customisation: LT Toolkit enables the most widely used customisation API,
AutoLISP

3D Design Capabilities: LT Toolkit gives access to commands like 3dface,
pface, etc, Accurender 3 LT (a combined development from McNeel and
www.drcauto.com) provides photorealistic rendering in LT. LT3D Pro provides
LISP and 3D solid modeling.

System Performance: LT Toolkit does not enable use of multiple processors.

Careful Hugh, I see Anne getting mad here.... .

I was just pointing out to the original POSTer that LT does not support
Autolisp out of the box and never has as a release product and not even
LT2002, without your wonderful, yet additional cost to LT, toolkit add-on.

Hi ya, Dean.

I was surfing the 'Net and came across some old info about AutoLISP LT:

http://www.fourmilab.ch/autofile/www/section2_107_2.html#SECTION001072000000
000000000

There's other old interesting Autodesk / AutoCAD related stuff in that site.

Yeah, I remember that article... . Autolisp in LT will never happen, unless
they start to feel that Autolisp Enabler companies are making enough money
with it and they want a piece of the action.

This would be helped of course by the big push into vertical versions of
AutoCAD by Autodesk: we all start using market specific versions of AutoCAD,
LT disappears and a hobbled AutoCAD fills the slot for those on the fringes
;)
