AutocadLT is locking

AutocadLT is locking up every time I hit save file or try to open a saved file. In order to get out of the program I have to force a restart. I cannot save a file open an existing saved file or print / publish a drawing. Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Is this a new problem? As in, it worked fine a few days ago?
Is the problem one file or all files?
How do you know it locked up? Maybe it's just very very slow.

hi Pat, just looking at my responce to your post and it looks very abrupt. So apologies for that I was in a hurray to respond before starting my normal day and without my fill of coffee.

I have made more of an effort to detail the answers to your questions below.

Answers to Q1: It  is ACAD LT 2011, fully licenced

Q2: I have not downloaded any updates,

Q3: Win 7 Professional, Last system update 1 month ago

                  Q4: 64bit,

                  Q5:16.3GB free space of 149Gb;

and Q6: No other ACAD programs at all, did have a trial edition of 2014 before I got the 2011 but I uninstalled it before uploadingthe 2011.

Thanks again for taking the time to help. Ray

Autodesk recommended uninstall/reinstall procedures are as follows
Uninstall: http://usa.autodesk.com/getdoc/id=TS45252

Ensure the user installing/uninstalling and using the product have enough rights to do so (install and reinstall as local administrator):
Unable to run AutoCAD® as a restricted user http://usa.autodesk.com/getdoc/id=TS1055299

More complete .NET fix if you did not go through this procedure:

Hi Pat, The solution suggested, with specific instructions attached to uninstall and re-install by "pendean (*Expert Elite*)" has not worked. In fairness it has enabled me to print files without freezing but when I try to save files it is if anything worse. It locks up so bad that I have had to force a shut down and restart my laptop to get out of ACAD LT 2011. Please please help it's driving me crazy. Thank you.

Hello

Q5) How much Ram in Gb on your PC ?

I was speaking about the MAIN memory in Gb ! not the hard disk capacity ...

Have you tried to Install your ACAD LT 2011 64 bits with the PC completely disconnected from the Network AND from Internet ?

and to Install AND Run with the Anti-virus & Frewalls DISABLED ??

What is exactly the PC : Dell, HP, Lenovo, Toshiba or XXXX ??

Which graphic card ??

Bye, Pat
