I am using Autocad LT 2013 and Autocad Architecture withing the same office. When I open a file that has an Xref from Autocad Architecture with 3D walls in Autocad LT, the walls only show as 1 line instead of 2. If I open the orginal file that the Xref came from, with Autocad LT the walls show up just fine (as blocks instead of 3d walls as I expected). I am hoping to be able to veiw the Xrefs correctly in Autocad LT.
Here are the DWG files. The one titled LT Test Baseplan is the Xref and the one titled LT Test Floor Plan has the Xref in it showing that only one line is shown per each 3d wall.
Let me first point out that you have both files saved in 2010 format: you do realize that once 2013 saves a file (down to 2010 or not) that all AEC content is upgraded and that anyone using Architecture 2012 or lower will never ever have full access to those AEC content items ever again. Correct, you know this?
There is no need to save down by default unless you constant share files and share files with those not using any version of ARCHITECTURE lower than 2013.
Attacahed is a screenshot from LT2013 and one from plain AutoCAD 2013 from your top file, LT Test floor plan:
LT2013 is not able to read your walls no matter what I tried, even saving up to 2013 format.
Full AutoCAD can read the walls just fine.
It appears to either be a flaw in LT2013, or it could be one of those "not supported" items that creep into and out of LT all the time from Autodesk. Or I am missing something totally obvious LOL
Hi all,
just to confirm - I can reproduce this with the attached files and have asked our developers to look into the matter.

That's what happens when you try and save a few $$ by not releasing LT2013 for public beta 🙂

Did you find out why is this happening? I also have a large drawing in which the interior walls are in one drawing, and the exterior on another drawing. When combine in a single file The whole floor plan shows. However, with my AutoCad 2013 LT it only show one line for all the walls on the floor plan file and not the whole wall. All the files were created in AutoCad Architecture 2010 I believe. I have tried all the settings that can deal with proxy graphics but I'm not getting any results. I would really appreciate some help.
And as was stated above it is an issue with the software and will (hopefully) be corrected when Autodesk has a solution.
