autocad lt with a mind of it's own

Hi.

I have a problem with autocad not doing what I want. When trying to draw a line and choose a startingpoint, autocad

desides that this is wrong and start the line in a different place. I've turned of autosnap and autotrack but this dosen't help.

What is it that I've forgot to turn off?

This problem came after a reinstalation of autocadlt 2013

Need new batteries in our mouse perhaps?

Are you entering coordinates and do not have the coords set to World?

Does the line just start somewhere off in space and not where (if you are) mouse clicked?

Hi.

mouse is on cable

coordinate is choosen by mouse klikk and line is starting at the end or corner

of other lines nerby. If I try to draw a line not center on a other line then it jumps to center or

end of that line.

Is the problem in all files? Or just this one file?

Why did you have to reinstall LT?

If you type OSMODE at the command line, what setting is reported?

Can you post a full screenshot of the AutoCAD Program Window while your cursor is hovering over a line where you intend to click on an endpoint but the center is selected?

Your first post indicated the Object Snap is Off but here you have given the OSMODE Variable number.

Tap F3 (Toggles Osnaps On and Off) and see if that helps. Just want to confirm that no Osnaps are running.

Look up the OSMODE Variable and change the Bitcode to something that works for you.

The setting on my system is 175. (End, Mid, Cen, Nod, Int, Per)

You may only want NEArest (512)
