Autocad LT 2015 Layout Tabs

When multiple layout tabs are created at the bottom of the screen they start changing order by themselves.  We can have up to 100 layouts in one drawing file.

We have three licences and they all do it, so it is not just one draftsman.

This didn't happen with previous versions of Autocad LT.

Our local support company can't find a solution.

Has anyone else had this problem and what did you do to stop it happening ?

Your help would be appreciated.

Hello

Welcome to the Autodesk/AutoCAD Forums !

Which SP has been installed on your ACAD LT 2015 ?

On the text/command line of AutoCAD, you can type : ABOUT

and look at (top left) the second line : do you see something like SP1 or SP2 ?

Hi Pat,

Thank you for replying.

We did have SP2 installed.

I have uninstalled it and the problem is not quite as bad.

The tabs are still extremely sensitive to mouse movement though.

We still have SP1 installed.

Cheers, Bob

Hello

YES it seems to be a "funny" effect of the SP2 !

So today I say to people, please stay with SP 1 (on your ACAD 2015 or ACAD LT 2015)

and install the SP 2 ONLY if you need it (For example: a specific bug corrected for YOUR day-to-day work) ...

With SP1 installed in LT2015 here, I can't get any of my layout tabs to move without actively an click-hold and drag action. Randomly clickinc to jump between them doesn't do this unless I click-hold too long to trigger a movement.

So other than the fact that LT2015 packs them a lot closer together than earlier versions, are you absolutely positive this is not a user-action instead of something else?

An alternate way to jump between layouts: CTRL+PageUp and CTRL+PageDown is the built-in hot-keys.

Hello,

Thanks for your reply.

I am certain that it is not user action.  As it is happening to all three licences (3 draftsmen) this seems unlikely.

We are not doing anything different to when we were using the previous version.

We are monitoring our actions to try to tie the exact cause down, if possible.

Will keep you posted.

Thanks again,

Cheers, Bob

Hello,

We fixed the problem by uninstalling SP2.  As other people have commented, SP2 created all sorts of instabilities.

The only downside of that is you lose the horizontal scroll bar....rats 🙂

Cheers,

Bob

I've also experienced this, following SP2, and know it's not user error!

However, SP2 added back in, ctrl-click/drag, for creating new layouts, which I'd really missed from the original realease and SP1, so I'm sticking with SP2 for the time being.
