Hello,
I have been having this problem since 2013 and when I upgraded to '14 the problem has followed. However, it is a little bit better in '14 but still crashes way too much. My computer is a Dell Optiplex 9010 with an i5, 8 gigs of ram and windows 7 64 bit. '14 is completely up to date as well.
The problem is when closing a drawing that I have been working on for awhile (can be ten minutes to several hours) AutoCAD turns grey and then crashes. I don't have the error number at this point if there is one (I usually just deal with it and restart it after clicking the close application button but have submitted a few tickets for it), but I will try to get one the next time it happens. This problem doesn't happen all the time it seems to be rather random when it happens and it doesn't seem to be correlated to a specific drawing or set of drawings. For the most part each day I have a new set of drawings that I am working with so it shouldn't be a correpted file, also their are at least 5 other people in my company that have reported the same problem some with '13 and some with '14 they all have about the same computer as me a few have better computers with i7's and a few have worse computers with less memory.
The second problem is occasionally when going to the plot menu to plot AutoCAD will crash the same way as when closing a drawing.
Hope someone has an idea and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
I will be trying those solutions one at a time, this is the error I get:
