Autocad LT 2014 and Photoshop Elements 10

In the office when using Autocad LT 2014 and Photoshop Elements 10 (both open at the same time. the following issue shows up.

If you click and object in Autocad and then try to hit escape to cancel it does not work. If you close Elements it works. Why should Elements be controlling the escape in Autocad LT?

This happens with a number of users.

Computers are running MS Windows 7 Enterprise - 64 bit.

Help appreciated

Jim

They probably share a system DLL: I've not seen any info from Autodesk on it and I did not look at Adobe's website for any possible solutions.

Full Photoshop and LT don't conflict here in our office.

Frederik,

Unfortunately I have not come across a fix.

Jim, it is an Adobe issue. I have fixed it by changing my graphic settings form basic to advanced.

Right click the desktop and select grahpic settings.

Frederik,

Thanks for the post, I will try this.

I also had a reply from our Reseller with the following:

We have come across some issues with conflicts between Autodesk products and some Adobe products. The workaround involves uninstalling AutoCAD LT with the Autodesk uninstall tool and in the control panel -> programs and features, uninstall .NET 4.5.

When you reinstall AutoCAD LT, it will reinstall the correct .NET components.

I have yet to try this but hopefully your fix will work for us as it is an easier one.

Regards

Jim
