Autocad LT 2013

I recently installed Autocad LT2013. When I use the stretch command it works just like the move. Does not stretch anything. Any help with this predicament is deeply appreciated.

Stretch command is dependent on how you select your object to stretch.

It's called a stretch frame, everything inside the stretch frame will be moved, everything partly covered will be stretched.

attached you can see it used in a DynBlk as a quick example.

If by some odd chance my nattering was useful -- that's great, glad to help. But if it actually solved your issue, then please mark my solution as accepted 🙂

I have been using Autocad LT2004. Stretch works differently in LT2004 than in LT2013. I was selecting the whole object. Now I see how it works.

Thanks a lot

Stretch works the same.

It is likely a Variable or Selection mode that was not the same as you had it set in the LT 2004 program.
