autocad LT 2013 opening SAT file doesnt work

hi,

i'm trying to open a SAT file in autocad LT 2013 but can't open this.

i've tried to import but i can not see anything. then i did zoom extend, but still couldn't see anything. (i know there is a drawing in the file).

about the version of the SAT file; if i open this in texteditor i get:

600 0 609 0
10 cadwork 3d 14 ACIS 22.0.2 NT 24 Wed May 08 10:23:17 2013
1000 9.9999999999999995e-007 1e-010

can anyone help me? thanks in advance!

Welcome to the Autodesk Forums!

SAT is not an AutoCAD LT extension.

Can the program that you are using to generate this Export to DXF or DWG?

i understand its not an autocad extention, but it should be possible to open a SAT file with autocad. sending the file in another extention is not really the solution, as i am reviewing in between 2 suppliers.

i only need to review the sat file, so installing another program that can open SAT is also a solution, but i don't know any program for that.

Why should any program you own open any file anyone will ever send you? That makes no sense my friend.
If you want access to SAT formats, you must purchase and use versions of AutoCAD that support the SAT format. LT is not it.

Ask your supplier to send you a format you can read/review if upgrading to a significantly higher cost program is not your option.

Any full AutoCAD version with the additionally purchased 3rd party add-on from http://www.sycode.com/products/sat_import_ac/
I believe this viewer is free and may be all you need:
http://www.spatial.com/webform/radf-viewer
If still available, Inventor Fusion may also do what you want:
