AutoCAD LT 2011 Compatability

Just purchased AutoCAD LT 2011 from Amazon.com was told it was compatable with Windows7/Vista/XP. Disk arrived and only is branded Windows 7 compatable. On install reads not compatable with operating system. I have XP.
Amazon told me to contact AutoDesk to find out how to exchange for a compatable disk. Anybody know about this program availability for XP?

It sounds like you got a 64 bit version and not the 32. I don't know if this would work, but maybe you can download the 32 bit version and install it. Enter in your serial numbers that you purchased. That's a guess, I've never done that myself and I have no idea if it will work or not. Don't worry, if it won't somebody will let us know! Thanks.

I am running LT 2011 32 bit on XP Pro 32 bit without any problems so far. I
loaded it about a couple week ago. The only issue I know of is to match the
bits between your operating system and software. I got a back up DVD set.
It contains one DVD for 32 bit, and another DVD for 64 bit.

since you can purchase and authorize the download after the trial period is
done, your idea should work.

You need to be more aware than just asking for Windows compatibility, you
need to remember what "bit" version you have and match it with the "bit"
version you are trying to install.

32bit LT = 32bit Windows
64bit LT = 64bit Windows

Both versions of LT are free to anyone purchasing a license/product. Make
sure you did not get two DVDs and are just using the wrong one.
