AutoCAD LT 2010 won't install on Windows7 64bit

I am trying to install AutoCAD LT 2010 on a new computer with
Windows 7 professional 64bit and it is not working. I keep getting error
messages that the “System cannot open the device or file specified” after clicking on the setup .exe file when the disc loads and that I need to “download Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package” when trying to install from the acadlt folder and even after downloading C++ 2005, it still won’t work. Does anyone know how to install this version on Windoes7 64bit without all these errors? Thanks!

Are you installing from a disk? Copy the content of the disk to your PC, then try again.
Often it helps if you UNINSTALL anything the package asks you to install, since 99% it's what you have already that is the problem. In your case, you probably already have VC++ installed in many versions.
