AutoCAD LT 2007 - Suddenly the line weights don't plot properly

The line weights from the .ctb file work in model space.  I can make a pdf from it that prints property. 

BUT

when I go to paper space and try to print, the xref'd drawings print with one line weight.  The xref's are all imported on layer 0 and nothing on layer 0 is frozen or is turned off.   I tried creating a new plot file and newly xref'ing the files but it did the same thing.

Up until recently, these files worked fine until I made some minor revisions and made new pdf's. It has effected two different drawings sets. I have not made any changes in the format, process or ctb file.     I have not had a problem with this in the last 10 years. Why now?

Someone suggested there was an automatic update from Autodesk and the driver was changed.  

Any ideas?   I am sure out of them.
