I have installed Autocad 2012 LT on Windows XP sp3. The program opened and worked fine after the install. The user was not sure they wanted this version so I did not activate the program right away. After the user decided they wanted to keep this version I activated the program with a license and now the program will not open. Crashes and does not give an error message.
I have tried to uninstall and re-install. I uninstalled netframework 3.5 sp1 and re-installed, still will not open. Any ideas?
Isn't 2012 AutoCAD software on the .NET 4 framework?

Thank you for the response. I tried the instructions sent in the prvious reply. I deleted all the previous versions of Autocade and deleted the registry files. I then re-installed Autocad 2012 LT and the program still crashes before it opens. Does not give an error the program just closes. I have installed this program on 6 other computers and did not experience this issue. Any further assistance would be appreciated as this user does not have a working version of AutoCad.
Did you uninstall the .NET Framework as well?
Any Norton or Norton 360 products on this machine?

Norton is not installed and I disabled our Macafee. The program still crashes. I have XPSP3
I used the two links below for assistance and the program still crashes upon opening the program. Does not give an error just closes.

any other help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Backup the User's computer, reformat the HD, reimage the drive to match all the others and install LT.
Was thinking that was the OP's next step too.

I have had this problem at least five times since purchasing and installing AutoCAD LT last June. Autodesk support can not resolve the issue.
I am sick and tired of this issue reoccuring and that Autodesk not resolving it!
I AM INVESTIGATING A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT.
IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED IN JOINING IN PLEASE EMAIL ME AT JOHNDARCHITECT@ATT.NET
I am serious!
5-crashes is June 2011? or 5 complete reinstalls of Windows since June 2011?
And using XP like the top post here?
Just curious about your stand going into this 'action'.
