Autocad 2006 LT would not open DWG file

My autocad LT 2006 would not open some .DWG files someone sent me via email. How can I resolve this problem?

What version did the person save them in? If newer than yours, easiest solution would be to have them save down to 2004 format - then you should be able to open them no problem.

If they are already saved down to a format that is compatible, you may need to run RECOVER to open.

Ask them to save it down to your version, or grab the free viewer from
Autodesk that can also save down to your version:
