Auto cad 2008 lt crash

Hi, i am using autocad lt 2008 on a windows 7 64 bit machine

The program will work fine after a fresh install however after a reboot or after i open autocad again it will crash after trying to open a drawing, it will crash when i try to file> new window . it will come up with the program is not responding

in the system log it says app crash adctl.exe

filedia is set to one

Have tried service pack

removing malicious windows update ( kb 296 )

re installing .net framework

unistalling ie 11

compatibilty mode / re installing autocad, installing autoo cad on a new windows login

graphics card is an  intel 4600 hd

the only last thing i can think is a full re instlal of windows

any suggestions?

sorry i meant to say that acdtl was the autocad main exe that was crashing.

i have tried all compatibilty modes and have disabled all other program in the background.

We have another machine that is running the same autocad fine on win7 64bit, the only difference is the other machine has a better amd gfx card

Try a new Windows Windows Log-in before you reformat your PC.

I have already tried to make a new windows logon and installed autocad on there, it gives the same error
