Attributes on lines?

So far I've only found that I can tie attributes to blocks. Is there any way to associate an attribute with a line?

Thanks in advance!

'Attributes' exist only with blocks. You can attach arbitrary
information (text, numbers, points, even self-modifying directions and
distances) to any AutoCAD object using either extended object data
(xdata) or extension dictionaries. To do so you need to program your
own LISP, Basic or C++ programs for adding, modifying and evaluating
these attributes. As you know, this feature exists in full AutoCAD,
for LT you need to buy additional software from drcauto or Manusoft.
